German course A1.1 for beginners – your first steps in the German language
Would you like to learn German? Then you’ve come to the right place!
Our ‘German course A1.1 for Beginners’ course is for anyone who is completely new to the German language.
No prior knowledge is required. We start from scratch – together, step by step.
In this course, you will learn the basics of the German language. You will learn to speak, read, listen and write.
We will show you the most important words, simple sentences and how to communicate correctly in German.
You will quickly realise that German is not as difficult as many people think – especially when you learn together.
📘 What will you learn in the course?
In the A1.1 course, you will learn:
- Greetings and introductions
You can say your name, where you come from and how you are doing.. - Asking questions and answering them
You will learn to ask simple questions: What is your name? Where do you live? What do you do for a living? - Numbers and Time
You will learn how to say numbers, times and dates. - Important topics from everyday life
You will learn about: shopping, eating and drinking, directions, family, work and leisure. - Simple grammar
You will learn how German sentences are structured and what nouns, verbs and articles are – explained in a very simple way.

Everything is designed so that you can also use it at home – for your own learning.
📅 Course Duration and Times
- Our course lasts 6 weeks (100 lessons).
- We meet 4 times a week (Monday to Thursday).
- Each lesson lasts 45 minutes.
- 16 lessons per week.
- The course takes place in small groups – so you get lots of personal attention.
We also offer online courses if you prefer flexible learning.

Upon request, you can also receive a Certificate of participation or prepare for an official A1 Exam.

- 📖 Reading: You will understand simple texts, signs, forms and emails.
- ✍️ Writing: You will learn to write short sentences, e.g. a message, a registration form or an invitation.

Target audiences
- You belong to the target group if you do not yet speak German or only know a few words.
- You belong to the target group if you want to live in Germany – for example, to work, study or with your family.
- You belong to the target group if you want to shop, go to the doctor or have conversations in Germany.
- You belong to the target group if you want to take a German A1 test, e.g. for a visa or integration.
- You belong to the target group if you want to learn grammar, listening, speaking, reading and writing easily and slowly.
- You belong to the target group if you are looking for a safe and friendly course – with patience, respect and fun while learning.
Requirements
- You do not need to speak German yet. The course is designed for complete beginners.
- You should be able to read and write in your own language – this will help you learn German better.
- You should attend classes regularly and be punctual. This will help you learn effectively.
- You want to learn German and are keen to practise new words and sentences. You are not afraid to make mistakes – that's perfectly normal!
- You will need a notebook, a pen and the textbook.
