Meet your teacher
My name is Anvar Shermatov, and German has been my field for over 25 years. I studied German at the Institute of Foreign Languages in Samarkand and qualified as a language teacher, and later earned a Magister Artium in German as a Foreign Language at the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin). As a teacher officially approved by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) to teach integration courses, I know what really matters when learning German.
I founded the UZB Language School because I’ve experienced first-hand what it’s like to arrive in a new country and need the language – for everyday life, official matters, work and family. With us you’re not just a number: small groups, personal support, and someone who speaks your language.
For everyone arriving in Berlin who needs German for everyday life, official matters, work or family. Whether you’re starting from scratch or strengthening your basics – we assess your level for free beforehand and find the right fit for you.
In small groups of no more than 12 – in person in Berlin or online. Everyone gets to speak and no one falls behind. You’re taught personally by the founder, and if something isn’t clear at the start, we’ll explain it in Uzbek, Russian or Turkish.
