German B1.1 Online Course – Your path to better German for everyday life and work
Would you like to improve your German language skills? Have you already completed A2 and would like to take the next step? Then our German B1 Online Course – Standard Module is just right for you.
This course lasts 12 weeks. You will learn in a small group with an experienced teacher. The lessons take place online, so you can participate from home, the office or even on holiday. All you need is a computer, tablet or smartphone with internet access.
Why B1.1 is important
The B1.1 level is a big step in the German language. Once you have B1, you will be able to:
- hold simple conversations in everyday situations,
- talk about family, work, hobbies and travel,
- write emails, letters or short texts,
- understand news and simple articles,
- recognise important information on the radio, television or the internet.
With B1, you can live, work or study in Germany more easily. Many exams for work or study require at least B1.
Course duration and structure
Our B1.1 Standard module lasts 12 weeks.
- 4 lessons per week
- Each unit lasts 90 minutes
- In 12 weeks, you will learn a total of 75 hours (100 teaching units)
This means you can learn lots of new words, grammar and phrases in three months.
Lessons take place live online via Zoom or Google Meet. This allows you to see the teacher and other participants directly, ask questions, listen and actively participate – almost like in a classroom.
Course content
The course is organised according to topics that are important for everyday life and living in Germany:
- Everyday life and leisure
– You will talk about leisure, travel, sports, food and drink. - Work and career
– You will learn how to speak at work, write simple job applications and communicate in the office. - Society and culture
– You will read short texts about German culture, festivals and traditions. - Media and news
– You practise understanding information from newspapers, radio or the internet. - Future and dreams
– You talk about goals, wishes and plans.
Of course, you also learn grammar:
- Tenses (present tense, past tense, perfect tense, future tense),
- subjunctive II (e.g. ‘I would like …’),
- passive voice, relative clauses and indirect speech,
- important prepositions and verbs.
Every week there are also exercises for listening, reading, writing and speaking. This way we also prepare you for a possible B1 exam.
Teaching methods
- Interactive: You speak a lot in class, practise dialogues and short discussions.
- Multimedia: We use texts, images, videos and audio recordings.
- Practical: Many tasks are taken directly from everyday life.
- Flexible: You learn from home, so you don’t need to travel long distances to school.
The teacher also gives homework and personal feedback. This helps you to better understand your strengths and weaknesses.
Number of participants
The group is small so that everyone has enough opportunity to speak. This gives you plenty of chances to ask questions and practise actively.
Costs and payment
The course costs € 900 for 12 weeks. However, you do not have to pay everything at once.
- You pay € 300 per month.
- This means you have three small instalments instead of one large sum.
This makes it easier and more convenient.

The course is for anyone who already has A2 level. Perhaps you have already taken an A2 course or studied a lot on your own. The important thing is that you can hold simple conversations and understand simple texts.
