German Course A2.2

German Course A2.2 – Speak with more confidence, understand better, act independently
The German Course A2.2 is the next important step on your way to using German with more confidence in everyday life and at work. In this course, you will deepen your basic knowledge and learn to express yourself more clearly, more fluently, and more independently. You will understand more of what people around you say and take part in conversations with greater confidence. The course helps you feel safer and more comfortable in daily life in Germany.
In the German A2.2 course, you will talk about many important topics from everyday life. These include work and jobs, free time, health, living and housing, shopping, traveling, and life in Germany. You will learn to express your opinions, talk about wishes, make suggestions, and describe plans. You will be able to talk about things you experienced in the past, what you are doing now, and what you want to do in the future. Step by step, your speaking skills will become stronger and more natural.
A key part of the course is listening comprehension. You will listen to everyday dialogues, short interviews, public announcements, phone calls, and simple reports. You will learn to understand the most important information, even if you do not know every word. This will help you, for example, to understand what is said on the radio, what someone explains on the phone, or what is happening in a short video.
Reading comprehension is also developed further. You will read simple newspaper articles, emails, internet texts, forms, letters, and public notices. You will learn how to find important information quickly and how to understand texts better. This is very useful in daily life, for example when you have appointments, look for an apartment, go to the job center, or visit a doctor.
In the area of writing, you will learn how to write clearer and slightly longer texts. You will write emails, short reports, messages, invitations, and simple letters. You will learn how to give information correctly, ask for something, apologize, or explain a situation. At the same time, you will pay attention to correct sentence order, verbs, tenses, and the right vocabulary.
Grammar is systematically expanded and strengthened in the A2.2 course. You will learn, for example:
- how to use the past tense (Perfect and simple past) in everyday situations
- separable and inseparable verbs
- two-way prepositions
- how to use dative and accusative correctly
- subordinate clauses with “because,” “that,” and “when”
- comparisons with “as” and “than”
- modal verbs in different situations
Grammar is not only explained, but always practiced in real communication. You will speak a lot, work in pairs or small groups, and actively use the language in practical tasks.
A strong focus of the course is on communication. You will practice real-life situations from everyday life: a conversation at the doctor’s office, a phone call with an authority, a talk with your boss, shopping in a store, or meeting friends. You will learn how to ask questions politely, how to react, how to agree or disagree. This will help you become more confident in real-life communication.
Your pronunciation will also be improved further. You will practice correct stress, the rhythm of the German language, and difficult sounds. This helps other people understand you better and makes you feel more comfortable when speaking.
The German Course A2.2 is for learners who have already completed level A2.1 or have similar knowledge. The lessons are clearly structured, but also lively and practical. You will learn in a friendly atmosphere where mistakes are allowed and seen as a natural part of learning. Our teachers explain patiently, motivate you, and support you individually.
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
- communicate independently in many everyday situations
- take part in conversations and understand short discussions
- understand and write simple texts
- exchange information and ask questions
- express your feelings, wishes, and opinions
- orient yourself better at work and in public life
The German Course A2.2 is an important milestone on your path to greater language confidence and successful integration. It prepares you step by step for level B1 and strengthens your self-confidence when using the German language.
